Why You Forgot
Good day amazing people, I am always excited each time I write here, having such an amazing opportunity to share personal lessons with others so we can all grow. Always remember to comment and share the link of this post, no one should keep such an amazing piece to himself or herself alone. Enjoy today's ride.
Boss: Rita, you will prepare this document and submit it to me first thing tomorrow morning, it is really important
Rita: OK ma, I will
(Later that evening)
Steph: Rita, where are you hurrying to?
Rita: I want to finish up with office work because there is this TV series that starts by 7pm every evening, so I can't miss it for anything
Steph: Wow! It must really be important to you?
Rita: Yes it is dear, I have to go. See you tomorrow
(Next morning)
Boss: ( Boss walks in) Rita, I am waiting in my office for you
(Rita agitated and confused)
Steph: Rita, what is wrong? The boss is waiting for you
Rita: I forgot to prepare the document, ahh! I am finished
Steph: Seriously! You forgot. It wasn't important to you that's why you forgot, but you didn't forget your TV series. Wow! I am so sorry for you. Just go and explain yourself to the boss
First of all, sorry to all the Ritas reading this, this isn't you and will not be you. I know my illustration was cool, so thank you. But here is the message, you can't forget anything that is important to you no matter how busy you get.
Take for example, how often do you forget you have an examination, an appointment with the president, to brush, bath or cook, almost impossible.
I understand that sometimes we forget but only on rare occasions can you forget important appointments in your life. The reason you forget to pray and study God's word is because you haven't yet understood the importance.
The reason people always remember to pray when things go wrong is because the situation is so important and needs urgent attention.
Just imagine, you make your favourite meal the previous night, no one reminds you to heat the food if there have been power failure ( this happens a lot in our country here), also no one reminds a farmer to take his hoe and cutlass when leaving for the farm.
The truth is if you have value for something you can't forget it, if something is truly important to you, you will definitely remember.
So, I can tell you the reason you forgot is because of lack of value, set your priorities right and understand why what you have to do is important, then you won't forget.
Remember - The reason most times you forget is because of lack of value.
Thanks for this sis.
