Take Counsel
Hello amazing people, Happy New Month. This month shall be an awesome one filled with lots of testimonies, lessons and favours in Jesus name. Amen
Well, today's post is one that taught me great lessons and I believe it will teach you too. So read, get blessed, comment and share the link.
Sometime ago, my elder sister was meant to go see someone that she felt wasn't necessary but my parents insisted it was important she went and she did, on another occasion she was told to do something she saw as irrelevantly. Everyone of these situation had a positive outcome and she was grateful at the end that she listened.
Many times in our lives, especially as young people, we tend to feel that we know exactly what is right and best to do, we forget that before we came to earth some people were here first and that no one can live a successful life without the help and influence of others.
Taking counsel is really important, most people who have gotten to the top will tell you the role that advice and direction played in their lives. I have learnt over time to take counsel and value it.
Tho, it will be difficult to take counsel if you are not a teachable person, most people who are not teachable never go very far in life's journey. Being teachable is very necessary because everyone is a product of people's influence.
It is important to note that, it is not only necessary to take counsel but to weigh it and be sure the counsel given is important and can improve your life.
In as much as I believe taking counsel will help you go up in life, they are certain counsels that can bring one down. This is also dependent on the company we keep and the type of people we let into our lives.
It is vital for us to know that everyone can only give what they have in them, so a person who have a right and renewed heart will give a good counsel while one with a polluted heart will give a wrong counsel.
It is important to take counsel but it is more important to weigh it before application. Mind who you give your ears to.
