The Village/Local Mentality

The last year was a shocking year for all of us but God's help and mercy assisted us through out the year. 

This is a new year and it is important we develop the right mindset so as to fully maximize the year. So today's post is targeted at getting you to prepare and develop the right mindset for the new year

The village or local mentality has nothing to do with where you stay, the village, the city or overseas.

I remember a particular boy who stayed in his village, after some years his brothers moved him to the city, he was fourteen then. This boy was not civilized in any way, so after he came to the city and associated with other people, he became more civilized and changed completely.

I know of another boy who grew up in the village, at the age of fifteen he was still acting like a kid, he was so disorganized and playful.

There are people who stay in the city but in rural areas whose behavior amazes me, their carriage, method of interaction and more. They act like nothing matter.

What is the common factor? Their mindset. They allowed where they found themselves to control their actions. I know so many people who grew up in the village and in some rural areas in the city but they didn't comform to the pattern of Lifestyle in those areas.

Stop blaming your parents, stop blaming your low financial status, just stop. Your mentality affects where you go, how you act, how you speak, how you dress, your plans, visions and many more.

It is only a person with a village or local mentality that will attend all the event going on forgetting there are things to do, only a person with a village or local mentality will dress, act & speak any how forgetting those things matter.

To go global, you must think, act, speak, and dress global, you can't have a village or local mentality and go global. Don't allow the environment you are in determine your lifestyle. 

Some of us were not so privileged to grow up in the best urban areas but we didn't allow where we were determine our lifestyle. It is a decision to think & act globally.

As Christians, we know that we are just pilgrims on earth, hence we can't think and act like the world, we are to think & act like those from the kingdom, we cannot allow the world system to change us.

It is a decision to represent the kingdom of God, it all begins in the mind.
