I have had a lot of conversations with people about how best certain situations can be handled, but I have come to realize that nobodies life is the standard of living. Even with the best intentions what works for you may not work for other people.
It is important to learn and observe from others but more importantly to do what works for you because you are not the same with others and your situation may not be the same with theirs.
Sometime ago I had a conversation with a friend about how best relationships especially marital relationship should be handled, I learnt a lot from the conversation which was really impactful. But something was wrong, I almost made the idea I got a standard for other married couples.
On another conversation with another person, I got a more balanced idea about this subject, which is couples are different, different background, different personalities, different exposure to information, everything is different because as humans we can never be the same.
Therefore, it is wrong to use what works for one as a standard for what should work for others. It is good to discuss with others, it is good to take advice and counsel but in all never take anything hook-line-sinker. Weigh whatever you receive, study yourself and the people you are relating with, do what works for you.
Nobodies life is a standard for living, as Christians the ultimate standard to live by is God's word. As humans we are imperfect, not everything a person holds idea is idea hence no human should be your standard for living.
Looking for a standard to live by? Ask God to teach you.
Share your thoughts with me on this in the comment section. Have a blissful day 😊
