Why Should I Marry 1?

How was the previous week? Mine was beautiful and I hope yours was too. Thank you for celebrating Chinonso Okonna's Blog on our one year anniversary, it means so much to us. 

Today's post is going to be the first of it's kind, I doudt anything on marriage have been posted here before but I am sure you will love it. "Why Should I Marry?" will be running for the rest of the month, episode one will be today and two next week. I am sure you will be impacted 😌

I was was walking along the road when this question popped up in my head, "why should I Marry?" As I thought about why I think I will want to get married, I just didn't want to be married because I felt every adult should be married. I wanted to be sure about the necessity of marriage.

During this time, the Holy Spirit confirmed to me through scripture the importance of marriage which I will be sharing as we go on. Please note: everything shared here came as a result of personal revelation which I believe will be helpful to so many people reading this, hence I am not countering what you believe as the true necessity of marriage.

Nothing gives confidence like having personal confirmation on a certain matter.

In Genesis 2:19, the scripture says "Then the Lord God said, it is not good for man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him". This was the scripture the Holy Spirit dropped in my heart and I realized it is not out of place for me to marry because I need companionship even God knows it is very important for man not to stay alone.

But it will be wrong to get married to someone whose only purpose is to keep you company, you can't just marry a person that all he or she will do is stay with you & gist with you. In as much as God didn't want man to be alone he gave specifications on this person that should keep you company, him or her must be suitable for you and must be able to help you.

Considering the fact that humans are completely different, it is evident that what suits this person, may not suit the other person. So, if a person takes what is suitable for his or her friend but is not suitable to him or her cannot be happy and I know one thing for sure that God wants us happy, joyful and fulfilled according to 3 John 2. 

If a person is not suitable for you, it will be a mistake to end up with that person. So, in deciding you want to get married because you need companionship, it is important to consider someone who is suitable for you, the suitability refers to your personality, values, likes, dislikes, purpose, destiny and everything that makes you unique.

In your getting a companion, get a suitable companion.

Unforgiveness!

Happy Thursday Guys 😀 I hope you are seeing how fast January is? for all those giving January 77 days 😂😂. Anyway I feel days are moving fast because of the multiplication of evil, may God help us in Jesus name 🙌. I really don't like movies with sad endings, I always wish I can rewrite the story to end well. Sad movies trouble my mind as funny as that may sound, you may think 🤔 "but it's just a movie".
