Before Myself

How is the week going? How much love are you giving out? it is important to ask this question because living is beautiful when love is present.

I have been trying to understand the true meaning of love, this is because loving the right way fullfills God's law as we are told according to Romans 13:10, "Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law".

When boarding a taxi, there is a part in the vehicle I hate to sit because I feel it is uncomfortable. Most times, when I realize that only two spots are left and one of them is the one I hate, I try to ensure the other person sits there so I can sit where I want.

While thinking one day, I understood that I wasn't loving right by ensuring the other person sat at the spot I felt was uncomfortable, I was being selfish. You might be wondering " Don't I deserve to get the best?". 

I want the best for myself and I believe you want that too. Let me show you something, "Don't do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast but be humble towards one another, always considering others better than yourself". Philippians 2:3, every scripture was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

This is not so easy to do but when God gives an instruction he provides grace to carry it out. 

What is love? The answers here were not gotten from the dictionary but from lessons and inspirations. Love is having healthy consideration for others, love is putting others before you, love is doing the best you want for yourself for others , love is sacrificing and love is selflessness.

This was the love God had you and I that he allowed his son to die. This is the greatest commandment in scriptures and the fullfilling of the law. God doesn't tell you to do what you can't do, so you have the capacity in you to love.

Love, put others before yourself.
