Jesus, My High Priest

How is the week going for you? Hope you are enjoying my Jesus series 😚. Today's post is about Jesus again, what is not about Jesus ? 🤔 Nothing really 😁.

"I am writing this to you, my children so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have someone who pleads with the Father on our behalf - Jesus the righteous one". 1 John 2:1

It's amazing how the death of Christ did not only give us salvation by the forgiveness of sin but positioned Christ in heaven to plead and intercede on our behalf continually. 

During the time of Moses, the high priest was the one who always gave sacrifices for the forgiveness of the sins of the people, he also had to offer sacrifices for himself because he wasn't perfect.

We now have a High Priest not one who isn't perfect and requires a sacrifice but Jesus our High priest who is without sin, perfect in every way, who gave himself as an eternal sacrifice and is constantly pleading on our behalf to the Father each time we sin, reminding the Father of the work on the cross and how He took our sins and gave us his righteousness.

Heb 4:15 says "Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weakness. On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but didn't sin".

What a privilege to have such a passionate brother and friend to constantly stand in for us till He returns to take us home. ☺️

Unforgiveness!

Happy Thursday Guys 😀 I hope you are seeing how fast January is? for all those giving January 77 days 😂😂. Anyway I feel days are moving fast because of the multiplication of evil, may God help us in Jesus name 🙌. I really don't like movies with sad endings, I always wish I can rewrite the story to end well. Sad movies trouble my mind as funny as that may sound, you may think 🤔 "but it's just a movie". In reality not everyone has a happy ending and I appreciate writers who makes us understand this. Movies like Acrimony and many others including real life experiences has proven that unforgiveness is an attribute that can ruin a person's life.
